Passione Beauty is a leading Italian brand in professional cosmetics, operating in a production context characterized by a distributed supply chain and high levels of operational complexity.
With a structure involving around 100 employees and a network of partners and third-party contractors, the company manages the entire sales process through the ecommerce channel, coordinating daily production orders, materials, and external processing.
In this scenario, the availability of up-to-date data, process traceability, and control of activities across the supply chain are essential elements to ensure quality, continuity, and operational efficiency.
Needs
Operating in the professional cosmetics sector, Passione Beauty manages a production supply chain involving multiple external players, third-party contractors, and partners. This complexity made it necessary to adopt a more structured management of external processing, integrated with the company’s ERP system, to achieve visibility, control, and traceability over orders, materials, and production progress. The goal was to overcome unstructured information flows and create a shared operating model capable of supporting product quality and operational continuity. Structured management of third-party contractors
The management of orders, materials, and processing entrusted to external parties required a structured system capable of coordinating contractors’ activities and aligning them with the company’s internal processes.
Aligned data and operational traceability
To ensure quality and efficiency, it was essential to have always up-to-date data on consumption, inventory, shipments, and production progress, eliminating reliance on emails, Excel files, and unstructured documents.
Process control across the supply chain
The presence of multiple actors involved in the supply chain made it necessary to have precise control over flows, with the ability to monitor receipts, shipments, production documents, and consumption, flagging any deviations.
The Solution
- Contractor portal
For Passione Beauty, EOS Solutions designed and developed a dedicated portal for third-party contractors, enabling suppliers to view assigned orders, record production progress, declare consumption, and manage documents and shipments in a shared web environment. - Integrated Business Central and Dataverse
The solution is fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central via Dataverse, with a bidirectional data flow: orders and warehouse information are synchronized from the ERP to the portal, while updates entered by contractors automatically flow back into Business Central. - Digital processes and operational control
The system enables tracking of receipts, shipments, production documents, and consumption within a single shared information flow, flagging any out-of-tolerance consumption and automatically managing adjustments, for complete control of external processes.
