Dr. Schär

Dr. Schär is a leading European producer of dietetic and gluten-free products.

The goal was to improve internal processes, but above all to outsource its logistics operations while simultaneously receiving real-time data from its network of manufacturing and shipping centers. In addition, given the unique nature of the company’s products, management and development of product traceability and quality control capabilities were essential. The results of the implementation have allowed Dr. Schär to achieve completely automated product traceability and extremely precise monitoring through the quality module.

With regard to the management of external logistics, the company works in a network of nine interconnected logistics centers in Europe and the United States which oversee the shipping of some 80,000 orders each year (representing approximately 250, 000kg di product).

Microsoft Dynamics ERP also made possible the management-level integration of the company’s five manufacturing facilities (four in Europe and one in the United States) as well as three branches in Europe.
